CITYSIPPER.com Launch Release
CITYSIPPER.COM, A NEW HYPER-LOCAL SOCIAL MEDIA DESTINATION FOR LIQUID LIFESTYLE ENTHUSIASTS, LAUNCHES
First local sites freshly brewed in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego
March 3, 2010 – LOS ANGELES – CITYSIPPER.com, a new hyper local social media destination launched recently bringing refreshing daily coverage of the people, places, events, and culture that define local wine, spirits, beer, coffee, and tea scenes.
Local city editions feature a mix of original editorial content, authentic and credible user generated reviews and ratings, local events, job listings, news and other targeted content for users to find, talk about, and share with each other. “CITYSIPPERs” are able to build profiles and start conversations with other like-minded enthusiasts in their neighborhoods to create both online and offline communities.
Kicking off with local sites in Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego, CITYSIPPER has plans to rollout local city editions in the top 25 US markets with the highest retail sales and consumption of wine, spirits, beer, coffee and tea. This will result in the largest hyper-local network of liquid lifestyle enthusiasts engaging with local and niche content.
“We’re creating a single destination for all the information that our readers want about the wine, spirits, beer, coffee, and tea lifestyle. Locals can engage with each other both online at offline at local CITYSIPPER themed networking events,” said Michael Santistevan, co-founder of CITYSIPPER.com.
“Ranging from wine enthusiasts to novices, and from the occasional tea taster to the ultimate coffee aficionado, we cater our content to our diverse community and it makes for some very interesting conversation reflecting a wide array of tastes,” Santistevan added.
Original editorial content includes features and profiles about local tastemakers and influencers in each community. CITYSIPPER.com members can also review and rate local merchants involved in wine, spirits, beer, coffee, and tea.
“Maintaining authentic and credible content is paramount to us and our readers, so we don’t charge businesses listing fees or sell paid search results. When our readers search for a place to enjoy wine, spirits, beer, coffee or tea, they get organic results and user comments based on their search criteria that are not altered by advertisers or listing fees,” said Santistevan.
CITYSIPPER members openly talk about the places they enjoy in their community, the people they meet, events they attend, and what they’re drinking now. All of the editorial on the sites has an accessible and unpretentious tone and style that is appealing to the Millennial Generation and other readers who are thirsty for unbiased content.
CITYSIPPER.com will soon be launching several new social media driven features that will drive members to engage with each other both online and offline. For more information, go to www.citysipper.com.
